Imagine that you were in the boat with the disciples that night on the Sea of Galilee when it was being tossed with waves and the wind. You looked and saw what appeared to be someone walking on the water! In a paragraph of no less than 125 words, describe your feelings both before and after Jesus had identified Himself. Peter stepped out and walked on the waves. Explain what you would have done.
As if I were one of the diciple of Jesus when they crossed to the Sea of Galilei to go to Capernaum I would be afraid and terrified being in the boat being tossed by the waves and tossed about by the strong winds. Fear is seen to be inherent on us, even Peter was scared. As I saw someone walking in the water, I would be terrified nonetheless as there is no human that could walk on water and that could defy such logic. However Jesus identified himself, a sense of relief flooded in me. Despite the raging waves and angry winds, I am secured in heart and mind as Jesus is our saviour that will protect us from harm. What I could have done, was to pray and have faith. What Jesus did walking on water was an act of miracle and faith of God. If I had enough faith and trust in God strong enough to conquer my fears and calm my mind. I would have been able to walk on water and not sink due to weak and wavering faith. In a life full of hard and terrifying challenges and trials, Ill continue to hang to my faith, as it is a strong rope that will never let me drown and pull me back to safety.
